Why the name?
The name represents the brains behind our operation: Elspeth is the decision maker with everything regarding flavour. She has a passion for food and is committed to ensuring we deliver the highest quality cakes we possibly can. The kitchen is Elspeth’s domain, this is Elspeth's Kitchen.


Do you bake?
Nope, we are 100% Raw, always and forever.


Do you offer gluten-free cake?
Yes, ALL of our food is gluten-free AND our kitchen is 100% gluten-free too

Could you send me samples?
Yes we would love you to try our cakes.
If you are looking for Wholesale cakes for your cafe/restaurant/catering, please get in touch with us by clicking HERE and we will arrange a sampling session at your premises filled with lots of delicious chilled cakes, ambient bars and breakfast bars.

Do you pre-cut your wholesale cakes?
Yes we cut our ambient bars right the way through. All you have to do is take them out of the box.
We do not currently cut round cakes to protect them in transit. We pre-mark them for you, based upon 16 slices. If you would like us to come and give a quick demonstration of how to best cut our cakes to avoid wastage or mistakes, please just ask.

Do you do Vegan and Gluten-free?
ALL of our cakes are vegan and gluten-free! Our founder is vegan and our kitchen handles no gluten whatsoever.

What Allergens are in your kitchen?
Our kitchen handles the following Allergens:
Walnuts, Pistachio Nuts, Peanuts, Almonds, Cashew Nuts and Hazelnuts. If there is something in particular that you are allergic to and want to double check that it is not something that we handle then please get in touch.

How do I store my cakes?
Our cakes have a fridge life of between 7-14 days depending on the type. Longer if you decide to utilise a freezer (6 weeks).
If you are displaying our ambient bars then we recommend storing them in the fridge overnight. It helps to keep their sparkle if you do not put them out on display for more than 3 days.
Our chilled cakes need to stored in a chilled or aerated display if possible.
Our ambient range does not need refrigerating whilst on display (but this extends the shelf life). As long as they are not in a very hot stuffy environment or in direct sunlight then they will keep well.

Is there a minimum delivery?
There is a minimum delivery of £60.

How do you handle invoicing?
We give you a paper delivery note at the time of delivery (and keep one for ourselves as proof of delivery).
Your accounts contact is emailed the invoice on the delivery day.

How do I order and can I have an account with you?
Orders need to be made 3 days in advance. Orders for delivery Wednesday must be made by noon on Sunday (Bath, Bristol and the South West)
Orders are made via email. You will get a confirmation email to say we have received your order in the kitchen. We will shortly be offering our customers an app ordering system for your convenience and ease.

Do you freeze your cakes and why?
The main reason we freeze cakes is to protect the cake during transit and it ensures the cake arrives in one piece. Cake is very fragile. Freezing also preserves flavour and prolongs the shelf life without damaging the structure of cake.
We can't tell the difference between a cake that's been frozen cake and one that's hasn't.


Why do you mark your wholesale cakes?
Our cakes are marked into portions once they are finished being made. Because we gear our production towards cafes, farm shops & delis, the portion control makes it easier for the staff who work in these places.
