Top 5 Vegan Beauty Brands

There is no better feeling than finding mascara that stays on all day long. Better yet, there’s nothing quite like discovering the perfect bronzer which gives you that just-got-back-from-the-Caribbean glow. But the one thing that is even better than both these feelings combined is being introduced to cruelty-free companies that actually deliver. Here are a few of our go-to vegan make up brands that we can’t get enough of, and are sure you’ll love them too.

From botanical BB cream to brightening moisturiser, PHB Ethical Beauty is a family run business with a huge range of completely ethical and natural hair, skin and make up products. They are proud to be palm oil free and are determine to be the purest range of cosmetics in the world. What we love the most about them, however, is that they donate 20% of their profits to charity, helping to improve the quality of both human and animal lives around the world.

They’ve also recently set up their own charity, The OneLove Foundation, yet another reason to love PHB. My personal favourites from the range include their incredible shampoos and conditioners, which I like to add my own essential oils to, making every shower feel like a trip to the spa.

Urban Decay

If you’re a sucker for pretty packaging and edgy eye shadow shades, then chances are you’re already well acquainted with Urban Decay. From stay-all-day primer, oh so dreamy Naked palettes, to skin perfecting foundation, it’s safe to say I’m a huge fan of the brand. Urban Decay actually started around 20 years ago, and all their products both vegan and cruelty free. Win win.

Bare Minerals

San Francisco based Bare Minerals are one of the major players within the natural make up sector. With their classic range of powder foundation being a must have in any good vegan make up bag, they’ve recently started a must-have skincare selection, all with the intention of giving you a gorgeous healthy glow.

You can rest assured that all of their products are cruelty-free and they do not work with any manufactures who do test on animals either. My personal favourite products in the collection include their warm all over face colour and their dreamy highlighters – all perfect for the summer!

Eco Tools

Eco Tools could quite possibly be my favourite brush brand, mostly because all our their brushes are super eco friendly, high quality and cruelty free. They’re tree free as the product and packaging is made from 20% cotton and 80% bamboo fibres. Bamboo is actually an incredibly fast growing plant, making it the perfect sustainable alternative. They also use a lot of recycled materials, such as aluminium and plastic.

Another charitably beauty brand, Eco Tools donated a significant amount of money to Glamour Magazine’s The Girl Project, empowering woman to feel strong and comfortable within themselves. The brushes range from large powder brushes to even colourful blending sponges. They also offer a range of hairbrushes too.

Kat Von D Beauty

If you’re an Urban Decay fan, you’ll love Kat Von D’s make up collection. Last year, the make up artist re-formulated her entire collection to ensure every product was completely vegan. Her contour palettes (complete with re-fillable pans!) are out of this world, and her eye shadows get rave reviews.
